We thought we would share some good news.
While the majority of the money that força raises goes towards the Nourish food project, our little sister scheme, Support, is picking up speed. March was our biggest month to date. Today we received our 3rd delivery of stock and had our 66th bra request.
força - strength against cancer, working with the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton, offers special post-mastectomy support bras free of charge to anyone going through mastectomy surgery in Southampton.
The Support bras are specially designed for use after a mastectomy, and work much like compression socks, helping promote circulation for a better recovery. They are also designed to promote comfort and are super easy to put on. Best of all - they are great to use as exercise bras afterwards.
With public fund-raising activities on hold in the current lock-down, all donations are especially welcome. A special thank you to Kempton Branson who have extended their donations to anyone shopping with them in April. Breast cancer surgeries have not stopped.
